Upsetting

I came home last night to find that John had taken Blixi's collar off and let her run around the house. In short, she had pulled out her staples while he wasn't looking, so I had to call the vet as an emergency again and have it redone last night. They are keeping her for 3 days. I was very upset with John last night, and I couldn't help but feel that I'm somehow supposed to be taking better care of her. I did talk to John, and we agreed we need to communicate better on what the puppy needs.

Then I talked to my mom, and she said that they should never have used just tissue adhesive on such a young and active puppy, they should have done something stronger from the get-go. It makes me feel better. I called this morning to see how she was doing after her anesthesia, and she is 'fine, just a sweetie' according to the vet assistant.

I'm still glad I cancelled dissection for today, I have a lot of grading to do, though I may go in to work and do it. I feel a little strange being at home without her.
